Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar Makes Appointments to Statewide Task Force to Combat Organized Retail Theft
In September 2023, Texas Comptroller Glenn Hegar announced the appointment of 10 members to the new statewide Organized Retail Theft Task Force. This task force will study the effects of organized retail crime in Texas and offer recommendations to combat it. Hegar will lead the task force, which will meet quarterly and submit a report to the Texas Legislature by December 2024.
